Pro Tip: Understanding Netflow Momentum

In our dashboard and charts, you might notice a situation where the Whale Netflow is positive (colored Green) but the percentage trend shows a decrease (e.g., â–¼ 20%). This is mathematically correct and represents State vs. Momentum.

The color and value (e.g., +$19,000) represent the Absolute State: whales are currently extracting funds from exchanges (Accumulation/Bullish). The percentage represents the Momentum: they are accumulating, but doing so 20% slower than they did in the previous period. Traders look for these slowing momentums to predict trend reversals.
